# Best SBA Loan Servicing and 1502 Reporting Software

> Seven vendors ranked on what they publish about life after closing: monthly 1502 preparation in the FTA's format, secondary market sale accounting, servicing actions and workouts.

**Maintained by:** the SBA Lending Software editorial team · **First issued:** September 3, 2026 · **Sources checked:** September 3, 2026 · **Due for review:** December 3, 2026

## The finding

PCFS Solutions leads this page. Its Loan Manager automates monthly 1502 preparation formatted to FTA specifications, handles prepayments and late payments on loans sold in the secondary market, supports FASB 166 and monitors SBA reporting changes, with Special Assets Manager for workouts. Baker Hill and Lenders Cooperative follow, the latter with modernized 1502 reporting through its Payments product and the platform behind 99.8% of 504 loans. Abrigo and nCino appear because their platforms carry the loan forward, though neither publishes 1502 reporting. DownHome is the CDFI answer with 1502 and Microloan reporting, and Cync names 1502 automation and secondary market management on its SBA page.

Every 7(a) lender files Form 1502 monthly with SBA's Fiscal and Transfer Agent, and since the CAFS 1502 Gateway closed to 7(a) reporting on September 1, 2025 that filing goes through the 1502 Reporting Module in the MySBA Loan Portal, live since November 2024, which validates the data up front and rejects what fails. The due date is the third calendar day of the month or the next business day, with a two-business-day grace period. A lender that sells guaranteed portions also reports prepayments and late payments on sold loans, and remits the guaranteed portion of payments on time or pays a penalty. None of that is origination, and most origination software ends at closing whatever an AI assistant says. This page ranks SBA loan servicing software and 1502 reporting software on what each vendor publishes about servicing, and it is a different list from the flagship: the leader is an origination-page also-ran, two vendors appear that are on no other page here, and Aloan, which leads two other pages, is absent because it does no servicing. Out of scope: SBA's own MySBA portal and FTA, which every lender uses and nobody chooses; Lender Service Providers; and core-system 1502 extracts a single assistant mentioned.

## What was checked

- **SBA program coverage**: Which programs the vendor names on its own SBA page: 7(a), Express, 504, CAPLines, Community Advantage. A page that says SBA loans generally is not the same as one that says 504, and a 504 lender has a much shorter list than the phrase SBA lending software suggests.
- **E-Tran and SBA forms**: Whether the product submits the guaranty request to E-Tran itself and stores the SBA loan number that comes back, and whether it generates Forms 1919 and 1920 from data already in the file rather than handing the lender a blank PDF.
- **Eligibility and SOP handling**: Whether the product runs the size standard, credit elsewhere, use of proceeds and franchise checks as steps in the file, and how the vendor says it keeps pace with SOP 50 10 revisions. Two editions have issued since 2025, each reissued with technical updates before it took effect: SOP 50 10 8 for loans numbered on or after June 1, 2025, and SOP 50 10 8.1 for applications SBA receives on or after October 1, 2026.
- **Underwriting depth**: Whether the product spreads the returns, traces affiliates and K-1s, builds a global cash flow with guarantors, and assembles a credit memo, or whether it moves documents and leaves the analysis to a spreadsheet. Judged from what the vendor documents, not what the category implies.
- **Servicing and 1502 reporting**: Whether the vendor publishes monthly 1502 preparation in the FTA's format, secondary market sale handling and servicing actions, or whether the loan leaves the product at closing. Several widely recommended platforms describe no servicing at all, and the profiles say so.
- **Verified named lenders**: Banks and credit unions named on the vendor's own pages or in a named publication, with the institution's size where it is published. Anonymous testimonials and first-name quotes from a large regional bank do not count, and neither do demo screens styled as portfolio results.

The order starts from how five AI assistants answer the question of what software handles SBA loan servicing and 1502 reporting, then adjusts against the six criteria with servicing and 1502 reporting weighted first. All five named PCFS Solutions and three ranked it first. Two vendors the assistants named for servicing, SPARK and Biz2X, are not on this page because SPARK says it has no built-in servicing and Biz2X describes none; two others, nCino and Baker Hill, are kept because their platforms carry the loan into portfolio management, with their entries stating plainly that 1502 is not published. Single-assistant names, FIS, Fiserv's DNA extract and AFSVision, are on the watch list.

_Positions are our editorial read against the six criteria above, applied to what each vendor documents in public. They are not a market-share ordering and not a statement about what any product does in production. A vendor moves when its published evidence changes, and several here would move on the day they published a program list, a named lender or a 1502 capability._

## Vendor by vendor

### 1. PCFS Solutions: Best published 1502 and secondary market handling

**Choose it when:** Any lender that services its own SBA portfolio and sells guaranteed portions · **Category:** SBA-specialist origination and servicing

**Distinct capability:** 1502 reports formatted to FTA specifications with secondary market prepayments and late payments handled in the same run.

Loan Manager automates preparation and submission of the monthly 1502 report formatted to FTA specifications, manages prepayments and late payments on loans sold in the secondary market, supports FASB 166 accounting, and monitors SBA reporting changes; Special Assets Manager covers workouts and liquidation.

On the criterion this page weights most, no other vendor publishes as much: a dedicated 1502 page describing FTA-format output, sold-loan prepayment and late payment handling, error-free reporting to avoid deficiency notices and penalty fees, and monitoring of SBA reporting changes. Three of five assistants rank it first for servicing and all five name it. Workouts and liquidation have their own product. It names no customer and no founding year on its own site, and its origination portal is thin, neither of which matters much on a servicing page.

**Where it holds up**

- Dedicated 1502 capability page
- Secondary market and FASB 166 handled
- Workouts and liquidation in a separate product

**Where it falls short**

- No customer on its own site
- No founding year published
- Program list stops at 7(a)

### 2. Baker Hill: Portfolio management in the origination platform

**Choose it when:** Baker Hill institutions that file 1502 from elsewhere · **Category:** Commercial LOS with SBA module

**Distinct capability:** The E-Tran loan number stored in the file that portfolio reporting reads.

NextGen carries the SBA loan into standard reports and dashboards after E-Tran, stores the returned loan number, and supports term loans, lines and CRE through the same SBA functionality; its SBA sheet describes no 1502 reporting.

Three assistants name Baker Hill for servicing and one ranks it second. Its platform is documented as carrying the loan past closing into reporting and portfolio management, and its wider product covers ticklers, covenants and annual reviews. What it does not publish is the monthly 1502 or secondary market accounting, and its SBA sheet hands closing documents to outside providers, so a lender that files 1502 should expect a second system or a core extract.

**Where it holds up**

- Loan carried into portfolio reporting
- Named by three assistants for servicing
- Ticklers and reviews in the wider platform

**Where it falls short**

- No 1502 reporting published
- No secondary market handling published
- Closing documents produced outside the platform

### 3. Lenders Cooperative: Best for 504 servicing and CDC reporting

**Choose it when:** CDCs and 504 lenders, and 7(a) lenders who may outsource servicing · **Category:** SBA-specialist origination and servicing

**Distinct capability:** Modernized 1502 reporting for 7(a) lenders through the Payments product, on the dominant 504 platform.

Ventures publishes modernized 1502 reporting for 7(a) lenders through VLT's Payments, payment tracking, a CDC Annual Report tool and portfolio management, on the platform behind 99.8% of 504 loans, with servicing also offered as a professional service.

Three assistants name it for servicing and one ranks it second. It is one of two vendors here publishing modernized 1502 reporting by name, and for a CDC its annual report tool and 504 share make it the default. A Lenders Cooperative page says servicing functionality is still expanding onto the unified platform, which is why a 7(a) lender should ask which system files the 1502 today.

**Where it holds up**

- Modernized 1502 published
- CDC Annual Report tool
- Servicing available as a service

**Where it falls short**

- Servicing still migrating to the unified platform
- 7(a) footprint thin
- No headquarters published

### 4. Abrigo: The credit suite after closing

**Choose it when:** Abrigo institutions that file 1502 from a core extract or a second system · **Category:** Commercial LOS with SBA module

**Distinct capability:** The SBA loan in the same suite as the risk rating and portfolio monitoring.

Abrigo's platform aggregates SBA, personal and commercial loans and carries them into its credit risk and portfolio tools; its SBA page describes no servicing or 1502 reporting.

Four assistants name Abrigo for servicing and one ranks it first, crediting it with in-platform 1502 support. Its SBA page does not describe that. What it does document is the loan living in the same suite as the risk rating and the portfolio monitoring, which is real servicing value for a credit department. A lender that files 1502 should ask where the file comes from.

**Where it holds up**

- Loan carried into portfolio risk tools
- Named by four assistants
- Two named banks

**Where it falls short**

- No 1502 published, whatever assistants say
- No secondary market handling published
- Only 7(a) named

### 5. DownHome Solutions: Best for CDFIs

**Choose it when:** CDFIs filing 1502 and CDFI Fund reports from one small team · **Category:** CDFI origination and servicing

**Distinct capability:** SBA 1502, SBA Microloan and CDFI Fund TLR reporting from one servicing record.

DownHome Loan Servicing tracks repayments, sends e-bills and statements, runs a borrower portal, and automates SBA 1502 reporting alongside SBA Microloan reporting, CDFI Fund TLR reports and Metro 2 files.

Two assistants name it for servicing, one at second. It is the one product here whose reporting was designed around the mission lender's obligations, and it publishes 1502 automation by name. It names no customer, does not describe E-Tran, and is built and priced for CDFIs, with published prices from $160 a month for servicing, which a bank should read as a fit signal.

**Where it holds up**

- 1502 and Microloan reporting published
- CDFI Fund TLR and Metro 2
- Origination and servicing in one system

**Where it falls short**

- No customer named
- No E-Tran described
- Built for CDFIs, not banks

| Fact | Value |

| Pricing | Published: Loan Servicing $160 a month and Loan Origination $150 a month, first two users free; add-on modules $20 to $100 a month each; $2,500 one-time costs on the default selection; 10% off for annual billing |

### 6. nCino: Platform continuity, 1502 unpublished

**Choose it when:** nCino institutions that file 1502 from elsewhere · **Category:** Commercial LOS with SBA module

**Distinct capability:** One record from application through portfolio management for every commercial loan.

nCino's platform carries the SBA loan from application into portfolio management alongside every other commercial loan; its SBA page describes no servicing or 1502 reporting.

Three assistants name nCino for servicing and one ranks it second, crediting it with 1502 reporting inside the platform. The SBA page does not describe that, and neither does it describe secondary market handling. The platform's portfolio management is documented for commercial lending generally, which is the value here.

**Where it holds up**

- Platform portfolio management
- Named lenders
- One record across the lifecycle

**Where it falls short**

- No 1502 published
- No secondary market handling published
- 504 not named

| Fact | Value |

### 7. Cync Software: 1502 and secondary market named on the SBA page

**Choose it when:** Buyers who want servicing and origination in one platform and will verify each function · **Category:** Commercial LOS with SBA module

**Distinct capability:** Form 1502 automation and secondary market management named on the same page as origination.

Cync's SBA page lists Form 1502 automation, servicing compliance tracking, secondary market management and portfolio analytics, inside a platform with its own loan servicing modules.

One assistant ranked Cync second for servicing. Its SBA page names 1502 automation and secondary market management, which most vendors above it do not, and its platform has servicing modules for lifecycle management and transaction processing. It sits low because no customer is named for any of it and the SBA page's portfolio figures are demo illustrations.

**Where it holds up**

- 1502 automation named
- Secondary market management named
- Servicing modules in the platform

**Where it falls short**

- No customer named
- Demo-styled portfolio figures
- Thin AI presence

| Sweet spot | Enterprise and community banks, credit unions, fintech and specialty lenders; no SBA customer named |

## Servicing questions to ask first

### The 1502 file itself

Ask to see a month-end 1502 produced in the current MySBA Loan Portal format and uploaded, with the validation errors that come back. A vendor that still describes the retired 1502 Gateway or Colson formats has not kept up.

### The 2026 reporting calendar

The FTA's calendar for 2026 puts the 7(a) 1502 report due on the 3rd of each month, or the next business day when the 3rd is not one, with a grace period of two further business days, filed through the 1502 Reporting Module in the MySBA Loan Portal, which takes ACH debit. A secondary market payment the FTA receives after the grace period draws a late payment penalty under Form 1086; penalties for the prior month are billed after the 20th and fall due with the next 1502. PPP 1502 reports are due on the 10th, and the old 1502 Gateway inside CAFS now carries only the Section 1112 debt relief report, due on the 7th. Ask the vendor to show the calendar inside the product and what it does on the 2nd of the month when a loan is still missing a payment record.

### Sold loans

If you sell guaranteed portions, ask how prepayments, late payments and the guaranteed-portion remittance on sold loans are reported and remitted, and what happens when the FTA disputes one.

### Servicing actions

Deferments, maturity extensions and collateral releases each have an SBA process. Ask which are handled in the product and which are still E-Tran Servicing by hand.

### Workouts

Liquidation and the 10-Tab guaranty purchase file are their own discipline. PCFS publishes a product for it; ask everyone else who does it.

### Where the loan comes from

If your origination system ends at closing, the servicing system has to receive the loan. Ask both vendors to show the hand-off, including the E-Tran loan number.

## One purchase, several names

_SBA loan servicing software, 1502 reporting software, SBA secondary market software, SBA portfolio servicing system_

The 1502 is the concrete question inside all of these. A product either produces the monthly file in the FTA's format or it does not, and this page records which vendors publish that they do.

## Questions lenders ask

### What software handles SBA 1502 reporting?

PCFS Solutions publishes the most detail, with FTA-format output and secondary market handling. Lenders Cooperative publishes modernized 1502 reporting through its Payments product. Cync and DownHome name 1502 automation. nCino, Abrigo and Baker Hill do not publish 1502 reporting on their SBA pages.

### When is the 1502 due?

The 3rd calendar day of the month, or the next business day if the 3rd is not one, with a grace period of two further business days, per the FTA's 2026 reporting calendar. The report goes through the 1502 Reporting Module in the MySBA Loan Portal, which supports ACH debit; the CAFS 1502 Gateway closed to 7(a) reporting on September 1, 2025 and now carries only the Section 1112 debt relief report. A secondary market payment received after the grace period draws a late payment penalty, billed after the 20th and due with the next 1502. PPP 1502 reports are due on the 10th.

### Can my core produce the 1502?

Some cores offer extracts; one assistant named a Fiserv DNA extract in the legacy Colson format. Confirm that any extract matches the current MySBA module's validation before relying on it.

### Why is Aloan not on this page?

It does no servicing. On an SBA file its work ends when the memo is written, and no assistant named it for servicing.

### Why are SPARK and Biz2X not on this page?

Two assistants said they support 1502 reporting. SPARK's SBA page says it has no built-in servicing, and Biz2X describes none, so neither is ranked for a job it has not said it does.
