Lenders Cooperative

SBA-specialist origination and servicing

Lenders Cooperative absorbed Ventures Lending Technologies in February 2025, bringing the platform that processed 99.8% of SBA 504 loans in 2024, with direct E-Tran access, 1502 reporting through its Payments product and coverage of 504, 7(a) and Community Advantage, alongside its own commercial LOS and SBA LSP services. The two platforms are still being unified, so buyers should ask which system runs each function today.

What it is

Lenders Cooperative is two companies that became one. On February 13, 2025 it completed a merger with Ventures Lending Technologies, whose Ventures platform processed 99.8% of SBA 504 loans in 2024, over $20 billion in projects, and supported more than 250 lending institutions. Ventures' own SBA page, still live, states coverage of SBA 504, 7(a) and Community Advantage loans, direct E-Tran access from within the system with documents mapped to SBA's buckets for automated transmission, modernized 1502 reporting for 7(a) lenders through VLT's Payments, a CDC Annual Report tool, an optional borrower portal and payment tracking, and it names eight CDC and CDFI clients including California Statewide CDC, Growth Capital Corp and Pursuit Lending. The venturesgo.com homepage now says those products will be delivered under the Lenders Cooperative brand. Lenders Cooperative itself sells an end-to-end loan origination system described as built by bankers for bankers, covering commercial, small business and SBA origination, a servicing platform, and professional services in credit underwriting, SBA LSP work, bank operations and call center operations. SECU MD selected it for business lending in August 2025. The transition is the thing to ask about: a Lenders Cooperative page says the unified platform already supports borrower portals, underwriting and e-signatures and is rapidly expanding to include SBA 504 and servicing functionality, so a buyer should establish which system a given function runs in today. The company lists offices in Arlington, Virginia, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and Birmingham, Alabama, and labels none of them headquarters.

What it does

  • SBA 504, 7(a) and Community Advantage origination on the Ventures platform
  • Direct E-Tran access with documents mapped to SBA's buckets for automated transmission
  • Modernized 1502 reporting for 7(a) lenders through VLT's Payments
  • CDC Annual Report tool, optional borrower portal and payment tracking
  • Credit underwriting, SBA LSP services and servicing available as professional services from the same company

Strengths

  • The dominant 504 platform by its own published share: 99.7% of 504 loans in 2023 and 99.8% in 2024
  • Names 504, 7(a) and Community Advantage explicitly, and publishes 1502 reporting through its Payments product
  • Eight named CDC and CDFI clients on the Ventures page and a named credit union, SECU MD, on the Lenders Cooperative side
  • Software and an SBA back office from one vendor, so a lender can start with staff augmentation and bring work in-house later

Considerations

  • Mid-migration: the unified platform is described as still expanding to include 504 and servicing, so the buyer must ask which system each function runs in today
  • The 504 dominance is a CDC fact; the 7(a) bank footprint is far less documented
  • No headquarters, founding year or price is published for the merged company
  • Underwriting depth on the Lenders Cooperative LOS is described at the level of a feature list

Best when

504 is a meaningful share of the book, or the institution wants the option to outsource underwriting or servicing to the software vendor

Lenders Cooperative FAQ

Is Ventures still a product I can buy?

The Ventures SBA page is still live and venturesgo.com says the products are now delivered under the Lenders Cooperative brand. Ask which platform a 504 file runs in today and what the migration plan is.

Does Lenders Cooperative do 1502 reporting?

Ventures' page describes modernized 1502 reporting for 7(a) lenders through VLT's Payments. Confirm that it is available to a new 7(a) lender and not only to legacy Ventures clients.
