What it is
Numerated launched an SBA 7(a) solution on October 13, 2022, describing it as guiding lenders through the complete 7(a) process in compliance with SBA guidelines, with pre-filled dynamic applications, data validation to prevent ineligible applicants from proceeding and automated form and document generation, and claiming completion in a quarter of the time of traditional methods. At that point the Boston company reported 500,000 businesses and 30,000 financial institution associates on its platform and over $50 billion in lending processed. On November 21, 2024 Moody's Corporation acquired it, by which time the figures were $65 billion processed and customers with a combined $3 trillion in assets. What a buyer needs to know in 2026 is the status of that SBA product, and it is not published. The numerated.com domain redirects to Moody's Lending Suite, and neither the loan origination page nor the small business lending page there names Numerated, SBA or 7(a). The 2022 release did not describe E-Tran submission, and no 504 or Express coverage was ever published. No SBA customer is named in either release. Numerated is on this page because three assistants still recommend it for 7(a) lending and because the 2022 product was real and documented; a buyer should ask Moody's directly whether the SBA 7(a) workflow is sold today and under what name.
What it does
- SBA 7(a) workflow with pre-filled dynamic applications, launched October 2022
- Data validation that stops ineligible applicants before the file is built
- Automated SBA form and document generation
- Digital small business origination built on a platform that had processed $65 billion by the acquisition
- Now part of Moody's Lending Suite following the November 2024 acquisition
Strengths
- The digital application and pre-fill experience was built at scale before SBA was added: 500,000 businesses and $65 billion processed by the acquisition
- The 2022 SBA release describes eligibility validation at intake, which is where an ineligible 7(a) file costs least
- Backed by Moody's Corporation, so vendor durability is checkable
- Fits a bank already evaluating Moody's for spreading or credit assessment
Considerations
- Whether the SBA 7(a) product is still sold is not published: Moody's pages name neither Numerated nor SBA
- The 2022 release describes no E-Tran submission and no 504 or Express coverage
- No SBA customer has ever been named
- The brand a buyer searches for redirects to a different company's product page
Best when
The bank is already in a Moody's conversation and can get the SBA product's current status in writing
